So many things to do here Saturday night!!

Smerillo - by day!
Smerillo - by day!

There were so many things on last Saturday night, we just didn't know where to go! It was La Notte della Sibilla in Amandola when all the shops were open, there were street artists and musicians, fun things for the children and the bars overflowing with people enjoying a gelato, a coffe or an aperitivo.

At nearby Monte San Martino, there was the opening of a photo exhibition "Cento anni di borghesia"  followed by a classical music concert in St Agostino's church in the piazza.

At San Ruffino Abbey it was the Sibilla Summer Night with poetry readings, another photo exhibtion and music by the lake.

Finally, we opted for Smerillo where they were holding part of an 8 day festival called "Le Parole della Montagna" (The words of the mountain) - poetry, philosophy, stories, theatre and places . We made it to the performance by Peppe Servillo and Natalio Mangalavite from La Piccola Orchestra Avion Travel, a well-known Italian pop-jazz group who won the San Remo festival in 2000 with "Sentimento".  As they were staying with us, we were interested to see them perform.
